  • !!!!!!!!!!

For all of you who missed
Any of the shows at The Attic

Here be the videos.  Sound quality is iffy, but what can you expect.  We're no professionals here!

The Attic Part 1 (March 6th)
The Attic Part Deux (March 6th)

The second one being with me giving a shoutout to my Mom for her b-day (Nevermind that!)

The Attic Spring Break Tour 2006 (March 20th)

Busy day today (for a change!).

    Band practice after 2pm.

    Concert at 7pm:

I'm going for the middle three.  It'll be a good show.

    Later.

  • Pains and thankyou's

Well, last night was simply AMAZING.  The band had such a great turnout, and I want to thank all of you.  We played our hearts out for all of you, and in return, you gave us your hearts.  It's so great.  I just can't say it enough.

    THANK YOU
    THANK YOU
    THANK YOU!!!

Everything just comes together very smoothly...

We don't seem to have any shows planned for a while, so we figure we'll go back to the garage and work on some things, tweak some others, and hopefully have new material as well for all of you to hear the next time we play, as well as a recording (possibly).

On a side note, all the other bands did great.  One that stood out to me was "Nas Project".  Those guys are amazing, and they're show is off the wall crazy.  In fact, I attribute the pain in my neck from their mosh pit, but it was all worth it to see such an outstanding group of musicians get up there and tear everything apart for God.  Good job to all the bands.

I'll keep you guys updated here, but go visit the band sites if you're interested.

    The Attic (March 20th)
Everyone come on out to the Spring Break Tour at The Attic.
It's every night from March 20th through the 24th.  There are
going to 30 great bands from all around.  Hopefully, people
will come see us on March 20th (That's a Monday by the way). See you guys and girls there!

The aftermath of St. Patrick's Day...

    Today, I find myself pondering
just how many people woke up
    this morning with a hangover.

  • When Prescriptions Go Terribly Wrong...

I had such a dumb, crazy, boring, hellish, tiring night last night.

They have me taking Adderol for my ADHD Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder....do I look hyper?).

They say that Adderol has the effects of Cocaine and "Speed" combined when taken at its highest dosage (30mg), which my Doc has got me on.  I've heard you can sell the little bast*rds for $2 or $3 a pop, but I don't really wanna do that...plus it's more than likely illegal, and I'm almost off probation, so I don't really wanna screw up this late in the game.

The thing about Adderol though, is that it gets you really focused (Like "Speed") and you can do alot of things in a short amount of time (Like Cocaine).  Now grant you, I have never tried either of these drugs.  I've only smoked marijuana, and I'm 120 days clean as of today (WOW, that's like 4 months!  I'm proud of myself).

The only drawback to this "Middle School Cocaine", as I've heard it called in health magazines, is that after school was over, the only things I was focused on were stupid, dumb, and pointless.  I reorganized Ryan's garage while I was over there for practice yesterday.  I turned the Ford Emblem I found downtown with Jonathan into a "Fairwell Emblem" (which I must say, looks quite good...plus it's Velcro attachable, so I guess it could go on an instrument, or an amp, or perhaps even a drumset).

     Fairwell Emblem

Next, I found a copy of one of my poems that I had written (By the way, my background has a line from this particular poem in it...I think Lines 10-11), and I decided to draw.

    DRAW!
    DRAW!!

    DRAW!!!

And this is what I got:

    With Every Picture

Then after that, I walked around the entire block at 5:30 in the morning, picking up all the cigarette butts and throwing them away.  I filled up a fourth of a Wal-Mart bag with them, and amazingly I was so focused doing it that when I came back around around 10am, I only found 3.  I know, it's gross....cigarette butts, but atleast I was helping the environment, right?

Finally, the best part.  My painting.  I did it on a panel out of a shelf in my old bookcase.  Long story short, it took 2 cups of coffee, alot of masking tape, some Exacto knives, black and white acrylic paint and brushes, and alot of time.  The background looks good though, and the focus of it came out with clean edging.  Plus, I like the board that I did it on.  Looks cool in real life.  Here it is:

    WFIS

    Yep, all my work.

You see how sometimes it's not about what the doctor prescribed...
because this stuff has me all effed up.

    I need to sleep.

  • Endless Dedication...My Gift to You

So life is great for the most part.  Jonathan spent the night last night.  It was fun, except he shouldn't drink so much caffeine anymore.  I've had a couple people ask me to make background layouts for them, so that's what I'm working on right now.  The Sopranos is on.  I love that show.  Don't know when the practice with the band is, but whenever it is, it needs to be soon.  Anyways, I've got school in the morning so I'm gonna get off and return to my addiction of unconciousness.

  • The Sweet Sound of Fairwell

Here are some pictures of Fairwell's show at The Attic last Monday.

Those are just some highlights from the show.  To get the full effect, you must watch the entire video of our performance (Especially when KrunkMaster Joe shows the rest of the band how it's done!).  The sound quality is a bit hit-and-miss.  The video recorder caught alot of treble and not much bass, so you can't really hear my beautiful bass thumping.

Really folks, the only way to hear what we really sound like, free of mixing problems and a full sound of my bass thumping, you're just gonna have to come to one of our shows.  Spring Break is the time for Fairwell.

On a side note, I just made a new background for my site, as you can see.  I have boycotted pre-made layouts, mainly because they're not very personal (somewhat like Hallmark greeting cards).  Plus, this way I know that there is no other site out there like mine, no Xanga clones that is.  So tell me if you like this one better than the last.

    Fairwell,
    Cable

  • Love is a Cut Throat Business, but I'm not the One with the Blood on my Hands!

I just fought in an epic battle with the force that is dirty dishes.  They all attacked me, so I drowned every last one of the poor souls.  It was a massacre of porcelain proportions!

  • Concerning The Attic...

I would personally like to thank everyone who came out to support us last night.  It was simply amazing to see all of you out there.  For those of you who missed us, here's some pictures from last night.

The first three are KrunkMaster Joe on Keyboard...
well, I guess you can see Ryan and Bryn too...
but Joe is the focus, because he's just KrunkMaster Joe!

  • When the Sun Drips Blood,
    I Turn to Him

Our first show went well, despite the crazy Cajun man repeatedly ordering us to "Turn it down, or I'll unplug ya!".  The mixing was off because he wouldn't let us change anything, and his keyboard made the second song sound crappy, but I'm elated all the same.  The band is happy that all of you who came were there supporting us, and despite the fact that the stage was really small, we'll make it up to you at The Attic on Monday.  You'll see Fairwell as it's meant to be seen, alive and kicking!  So get your rocking boots on, because we're gonna rock your face off come Monday, and we can play as loud as we want, with as much kicking and screaming and moshing and banging of the double bass pedal and shooting of the hump as we want.  So be tharr, or be squarr.

Also, remember that my Poetry Slam is tonight at the Poet's Loft downtown at 8pm.  $2 admission, and $5 to compete.  There's a $200 prize, so either compete, or vote for me, unless I'm not the best poet there, then vote for the other guy.  It would mean alot to me if you guys came.  If you do, I'll make your travels worthwhile afterwards.  Promise!
